When you join me in the field of battle, know that I have your back and you have mine. Individually we are weak, together we are unstoppable.

Ocean Renegades will be comprised of players from different towns across Ocean and surrounding counties. The age group will be 17 and under or Juniors in High School. Younger players will be asked to play up if they make the team. We will enter tournaments in the 17U division in 2012..

We are a non-funded, limited sponsored team at the present time and will be responsible for the cost of tournaments and any costs involved to organize, promote and fund our team. We will ask each player to attempt to obtain a sponsor but it will not be mandatory. Ocean Renegades is AAU affiliated and all players are required to obtain membership.

Tournaments/ Leagues will be a pay as we go option. Playing time is not a guarantee and will be determined by practice, attitude and game time decisions. Ocean Renegades roster will consist of 10-12 players. We do not carry players just to offset cost, everyone should expect to improve and earn more time on the floor. A Bench of 10-12 will allow a full practice compliment and will compensate for players that may leave the team. Our goal is to have players stay with the team from start to finish. Realistically this sometimes does not happen.

Make every attempt to make it to practice, unless it interferes with family or school events. Players that miss practice not only hurt the team but limit their individual progress. Your coach must be notified (1) hour prior to practice if you cannot make it. That is part of the commitment.

We expect our players to succeed in school as well as on the court. Players that cannot maintain academic goals will not be able to participate. The time frame will be determined by conversation between the parent/guardian and coach.

The type of player we are looking does not have spring or summer commitments that may conflict with team functions or games. Dedication is the path to success.

Success is not determined by wins and losses. The guage is personal improvment, exposure and becoming a team.

If you want to play just for the love of the game we are looking for you.

• If you play a sport for your respective high school and have summer workouts, they should be a priority and considered prior to joining our club.
• Consider that some tournaments may require travel, discuss this with your family.
• I will attempt to keep all of our tournaments within 80 miles of Ocean Township. At times this may not be possible.
